Domaine Trapet père & fils
Jean Louis Trapet took over the family Domaine in 1990 and brought a profound change, implementing practices that were more in line with his ambition.
Wine peculiarity is associated to the word “terroir”; we understand it is dependant on the soil and climate, but we often forget the role played by man.
With Jean Louis Trapet, the family Domaine reached excellence. In 1996 he started a slow transition to biodynamic viticulture.
“We must have respect for this vineyard; it lasts one or two generations and it is a testimony of the past; we need to find the right harmony…” says Jean Trapet, whose wines tend to gentle power.
All good vintages reflect a style that does credit to Bourgogne.
Each of his ‘Crus’ is characterized by unmatched purity and fully reflects its ‘terroir’.
